Wordless Wednesday: My State of Mind
Mind of a Child: The Fable
I spent most of last night, and yesterday in general, folding laundry and packing the girls up for their various and sundry camps. As I was packing my middle daughter began to ask me how to spell what seemed the most random words.
“Mommy, how do you spell koala?”
“Mommy, how do you spell because?”
“Mommy, how do you spell continue?”
Since I was intent on getting all the laundry folded before putting them to bed, it didn’t occur to me to ask why she wanted to know how to spell the words. In fact, I had no idea what she was doing. So I responded to her questions, and when I was all done, I put them to bed.
A little while later I went down to the family room to straighten up. There, on the coffee table I finally saw what she had been doing.
I can’t wait to see how it ends…
I love my daughters.
